THE WHISKA
Unreal value
at $89.00, the Whiska is the board that any surfer of average ability can
ride.
Fast lines and
good volume distribution make this board handle in the smallest waves,
and slice through any challenging wave that can be found on our coastline
in summer.
Basic dimensions
for the board are 6' long by 19 1/2" wide.
We vary the thickness;
to suit wave speed and the size of the individual surfer.
In bigger waves,
up to 8' and 10' the Whiska rides better thinned down to 3/4".
This allows the
Whiska to sit tight on the speeding face of the wave.
For slower waves
the
board rides higher in the water at 3 1/2"- 3 3/4".
Turn the rails
down on the Whiska and you can sustain any nose ride, due to the lift created
under the nose by the low rail shape.
In profile the
board has a thick nose that thins down to a fine sensitive tail.
We have found
that the nose thickness allows speedier wave entry and desirable float
while surfing the forward trim position.
A slight "V"
in the tail makes the board very loose laterally.
The fine tail
means that you can pull the board up in a split second for the snappiest
turns utilising the "V".
The moment of
truth comes when the rails bite into a vertical section of tube and the
surfer goes for broke encapsulated under the lip.
lnstant speed,
like riding a bar of wet soap, propels the board out of the worst situation.
All-up weight
of the boards is around 8 Ibs.
The rugged glass
job makes use of the best Volan and Siline finish cloths.
The foam is our
own, trade name Surf- blanks, and is absolutely the toughest we have ever
put under a glass job.
No longer will
our customers have to suffer the glass job blowing up in a blister off
the deck of the board.
You can have
the Whiska with one, two or three fins depending on what kind of a turn
you want from the board.
The board handles
extremely well with a single large fin, pivots on its tail block with the
twins, and tears through the most radical, tight arcs with the tri-fin
set up that is especially balanced for the tail of the Whiska.
The use of a
finbox, though slightly more expensive makes the Whiska a versatile performer
by adding smaller or larger fins for positive or sliding turns.
THE BELLY RIDER
Dimensions: 48"
x 19"- 20",
This thin, high
speeed design was created for maximum performance across any challenging
wave.
The same design
has been used in Hawaiian surf up to 15'.
There is no other
design in Australia like it since nobody has explored the exact design
potential. Given a good wave the slight "V" bottom and hard edge will out
race high speed gun boards.
The nose is senstive
being thin and scooped.
A foot before
the tail the deck is humped to carry the chest of the surfer.
Full carving
turns can be had by burying the squarish extremities of the tail.
With either large
single or two small twin fins the Belly Rider is very positive and free
in handling.
N.B.:
This is a board
designed specifically for surfers who don't get to their knees or feet.
It is strictly
for the belly rider due to its fine balanced profile and minimal flotation.
Length and widths
can be varied on request.
